Golden harvest farms 20192/1/2024 This blog is a compendium of our apple harvest experience in California, both in our backyard of West Sonoma County, as well as across the entire state from Mendocino County down to Ventura County. The sense of place that is contributed to the cider in this way is better known as terroir, and is the central focus of our Harvest Series and California Farm Series Ciders. The techniques they use, the microclimate of the area they are located, and the type of soil that binds the tree to the earth all impact the way the fruit, and thus the resulting cider will taste and be experienced by you. Not exactly a must-see, but a very good film and one worth your time. The way we make cider relies only on the hard work and care the apple farmers put into growing the fruit that we will eventually crush and ferment into cider. The story of farming and the like may not sound that interesting, but it is a nice history lesson and the film has some excellent performances. Eventually, Walt and Chris work together to try to create a stronger market for wheat.that way they'll both win.if it works. However, at times, Chris makes a ton of money when the farmers are in dire trouble and prices are at their lowest. With his background as a farmer, he's got a bit of an edge on his competition. Chris (Chester Morris) on the other hand longs for something else and soon moves to Chicago to try his hand at working the commodities market. Walt (Richard Arlen) loves farming and can imagine himself doing nothing else.and so on the farm he remained through the story. The story is about two brothers who grew up on the farm. At that time, farmers were abandoning the land to move to cities and the Depression took its toll on the farmers who remained and worked the land. Taken in context, "Golden Harvest" is a great look at the 1930s.
